When Do I Get the Most Calls for Training?

Believe it or not, there is a specific time that I get more calls for dog training than any other time of the year. I can nearly count it down to the day, literally! So, my busiest time of the year is in March to June! Why is that you may wonder? Well, the reason is simple. People get puppies at Christmas so by the time March comes along all those new pups are exhibiting undesired behaviors in the home, so people reach out to me for help. I encourage people to reach out to a dog trainer or find a reputable dog training website and learn for yourself. The method I teach is a dog calming code which means I help your dog to relax so they can just be a dog. If you reach out to a dog trainer when the dog is just a pup, then by the time the dog is old enough to begin training then you will be ahead of the game. Once pups get into the home, they tend to be pretty mellow to begin with because everything is new and they just aren’t sure about everything. Once they begin to adjust, you’ll see the dog start getting a little more confident about what they can or cannot do. But, about the 8-12 weeks of being in the home is when you will begin seeing behaviors with dogs by them pushing the boundaries. Like children, the more they can get away with, the more they will push the boundaries until they are totally out of control. So, be smart and learn for yourself or call a professional dog trainer.

Teaching dogs has been a passion my entire life. When I learned how to train dogs in a gentler way, the way the dog learned was phenomenal. This way of teaching is definitely a game-changer!
