What Are The 5 Golden Rules?

The 5 Golden Rules is a preface for what is considered the “Dog Calming Code.” The rules establish guidelines in which a dog can learn good behavior. The 5 GR’s center around feeding, after separation from the dog, what happens when the dog begins to initiate interactions with humans along with understanding what danger really means to a dog as well as what happens before or during a walk. With the rules put into place with every dog, the level of energy surrounding the dog’s behavior can be significantly diminished. Most often, people believe that a dog trainer will “train” their dog into behaving like a perfect dog every time for the rest of their lives. That is simply not reality no more than we can believe that when we step outside the door away from our children that they will not misbehave. It just does not work like that. By taking the step to put these tools into place with your dog, the owner now has the educational tools to begin working with their dog every day for the rest of their lives so the dog can relax and enjoy life without worrying about the home, their human’s, their den or territory! Yes, it is that simple!

Teaching dogs has been a passion my entire life. When I learned how to train dogs in a gentler way, the way the dog learned was phenomenal. This way of teaching is definitely a game-changer!
