Potty Training

In the case of dogs, you can teach an old dog new tricks. Truly, this topic really depends on how much patience you have! Most people honestly give up because the dog (or puppy) has accidents in the home, or simply misses the pad put in place for such things. Often times I hear clients tell me they continue to clean up messes although advice has been provided to avoid such disasters. When potty training, the owner(s), meaning everyone in the home, must be diligent in taking the dog out every few hours and specifically after meals, naps and play time. Every dog’s behavior is different when it comes to how they let you know they have to go, so pay attention to your dog’s actions when they alert you to go outside. Yes, it really can be that simple!

Teaching dogs has been a passion my entire life. When I learned how to train dogs in a gentler way, the way the dog learned was phenomenal. This way of teaching is definitely a game-changer!
