Why 5 Golden Rules?

The 5 Golden Rules is also known as the Dog Calming Code. This code is an inherent hierarchy of rules within a pack regardless of it being wolves or dogs, wild or tame. This Code involves feeding time, what happens at the door, after a separation, when and how attention is given along with how danger is perceived and responded to. Then there is the walk. With us as “owners” of dogs, we take them on “walks.” In essence, this is considered in the wild to be a “hunt.” This means when you gather your dog to go for a walk, in the mind of your dog, you are going on a “hunt,” as if you were in the wild. This is what the Alpha male and female would do in the wild, so then your dog is on high alert. With these rules addressed in a consult in the dog’s own environment, and the owners’ learning and executing these rules within the home, your dog will fall into line as he/she would in the wild under the leadership of the Alpha’s. It is really that simple and anyone can do it!

Teaching dogs has been a passion my entire life. When I learned how to train dogs in a gentler way, the way the dog learned was phenomenal. This way of teaching is definitely a game-changer!
