Jumping & Door Dashing

These two issues can be very frustrating, especially when you have a large dog jumping on you. Often times, even if you are a decent sized person, a dog can knock you down whether it is from knocking you off your feet from dashing through the door or jumping on you from excitement. Most often owners think it’s cute if the dog is jumping on you, especially if it’s a small dog, but in fact it is really unacceptable behavior for a dog and should not ever be tolerated. These two issues can be eliminated completely by addressing them early in your dog/owner relationship no matter how old or young the dog is. With the 5 Golden Rules I discuss in home visits, it is simple to understand what to do in these situations to calm your dog down before exiting the door, entering through the door or after you arrive.

Teaching dogs has been a passion my entire life. When I learned how to train dogs in a gentler way, the way the dog learned was phenomenal. This way of teaching is definitely a game-changer!
